Our partner Petter Olsen presented PrimeFish in the FAO Fish Adapt conference
This event will take place next 13th July in Aberdeen, under the framework of IIFET, in which PRIMEFISH project is participating.
The relevance of the main agents of the seafood products sector –fishermen, farmers, processors, etc.- and the way they help to strenghten the European market is the subject of the seminar. This action is organised by CETMAR Foundation and will take place this week at Aberdeen, within the 18th 2016 Conference of IIFET, one of the most renowned international events in the economy research and marine trade sectors.
The International Institute of Fisheries Economics and Trade (IIFET) conference will take place in Aberdeen, Scotland in 2016. The 18th edition of this international Conference has the theme of "Challenging new frontiers in the global seafood sector – a Northern Enlightenment".
Primefish project is represented by chairing a special session on the project topics named: “Creating shared value through stakeholders’ involvement to strengthen the seafood competitiveness”, Wednesday, 13th from 13:30 until 15:30 in the Fleming room.
Spanish Aquaculture Observatory (OESA) has chosen PrimeFish as an “Outstanding Project” working in the aquaculture sector. PrimeFish focuses in the analysis of competitiveness in the production of trout, seabass, seabream, salmon and panga; and their processed products.
From 26th to 28th April Brussels held the latest Seafood Expo Global with more than 1,600 exhibiting companies from 80 different countries. The H2020 project PrimeFish participated to present the latest work done in the project, detect new trends in seafood products and build on its network of companies and institutions. Most of the firms involved in the project through its Industy Reference Group (IRG) participated as a exhibitor or a visitor to the fair.

PrimeFish held its First Annual Meeting in Parma from 12th to 14th April. Scientists and industry representatives got to know the latest outcomes from this H2020 project. Latest findings on economic performance, supply chain relations and seafood market trends, as well as a preliminary sketch of the PrimeDSS (Decission Support System) were presented during the gathering.
From 12th to 14th of April, 46 scientists and 15 high-level representatives from the European seafood industry will work together in the First Annual Meeting of the PrimeFish project.
For two days PrimeFish presented its work in the poster section of the Conference on Economic Advice in Fisheries Management. Other 47 posters were also present in an event, which joined politicians, economists, ONGs, industries and scientists. The Directorate-General for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, also known as DG MARE, organized the event together with the University of Malta and the European Association of Fisheries Economists.
The PrimeFish will be introduced in Malta during the prestigious #EUFishEcon on 04-05 February 2016
