European consumers’ profiles and their willingness to pay for seafood products at Seafood Expo Global
The PrimeFish project will present an overview of the interests and trends in some of the most important European seafood markets. The results of these market studies developed with the participation of 6,500 consumers from France, Germany, Italy, Spain and United Kingdom will be presented for the first time at the next Seafood Expo Global (Xunta de Galicia booth #7-151; Brussels, 25 April)
“PrimeFish: Market-oriented Tools to Catch the European Seafood Consumers” will take place on the 25th of April from 11.00 am to 12.15 and will host presentations on:
- The competitiveness of the seafood sector
- Consumers’ behavior in main European seafood markets (France, Germany, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom)
- Characteristics of main market niches
- Showcase of a market-oriented tool
The coordinator of the project Guðmundur Stefánsson, the leader of stakeholder interaction and communication Rosa Chapela, the project officer Valur N. Gunnlaugsson and the economist José L. Santiago will offer insights into the drivers of seafood consumption. Check the program of the event.
