PimeFish holds a seminar on the global seafood sector in the IIFET 2016 Conference in Scotland
This event will take place next 13th July in Aberdeen, under the framework of IIFET, in which PRIMEFISH project is participating.
The relevance of the main agents of the seafood products sector –fishermen, farmers, processors, etc.- and the way they help to strenghten the European market is the subject of the seminar. This action is organised by CETMAR Foundation and will take place this week at Aberdeen, within the 18th 2016 Conference of IIFET, one of the most renowned international events in the economy research and marine trade sectors.
With the title “Creation of shared value: exploring synergies of marketing tools”, the session will take place on Wednesday, 13th July, coinciding with the main IIFET day and will include 10 reports by different experts and sectoral representatives.
The Seminar is organised by the Fisheries Socioeconomics Area of the CETMAR within the PRIMEFISH proyect, an initiative of the H2020 European Program in which this Galician Foundation is participating, leading the tasks of communications and interactions among the industry and other involved agents.
The session will be divided in two parts: the theoretical one on the PRIMEFISH project regarding how to develop an innovative market using predictions tools and the practical part focussed on how to answer questions of enhancement of both fishing and aquaculture European markets.
The PrimeFish project is an iniciative of a consortium joined by 14 European research centres and 2 centres from Canada and Vietnam who work together in order to improve competitiveness of the fishing and aquaculture sectors since March 2015 to February 2019.
